New breakthrough in efficiency of low-indium and silver-free heterojunction cells
09-11
Recently, the innovative technology of low-cost silicon heterojunction (SHJ) battery developed by Mai for shares was published in the world energy academic journal Nature Energy.
This paper details the method and principle of preparing SHJ cell with 25.94% photoelectric conversion efficiency by using TCO (transparent conductive oxide) thin film process with low indium content combined with copper electroplating gate line.
This paper is entitled "Silicon solar cell with undoped tin oxide transparent electrode" (translated as "silicon solar cell without doped tin oxide transparent electrode"). the first unit is Suzhou maiwei technology co., ltd. the first author is ms Yu Cao, head of battery technology, and is published by maiwei team in conjunction with Nankai university and SunDrive company.
The key technology of the battery (transparent conductive laminated film material and coating process) was developed by Mai for the team. The preparation of the battery was completed on the heterojunction whole line mass production equipment independently developed by Mai for the team. Among them, Mai for the team optimized the design of the sputtering unit of PVD equipment to reduce the unit consumption of the target material, and then combined the indium reduction of the equipment with the low indium laminated film scheme (50% indium free), achieve a significant reduction in indium consumption, reduce battery manufacturing costs while maintaining its high efficiency advantages.
Nankai University provided technical support in material testing and mechanism analysis, and the SunDrive team cooperated in the preparation of high-efficiency battery copper grid lines.
